**The Role**
Our client is seeking to engage the services of a Cyber Security Analyst to ensure the organisation is best placed to increase productivity of the organisations’ Information Security services and processes to deliver to the businesses’ needs and priorities.

The Cyber Security Analyst is a Subject Matter Expert in the relevant security products, leading security monitoring, incidents and investigations in a controlled and structured manner and effectively collaborates with the rest of the business to embrace security.

They will be responsible for supporting the delivery of new security technologies, standards, procedures, and the operations of existing and future technologies.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct security monitoring and detection to prioritise and manage incidents effectively.
- Investigate, respond to, and report on security incidents, serving as a point of escalation.
- Analyse technical security risks and vulnerabilities, providing recommendations for remediation.
- Evaluate and recommend new security products to enhance the company’s security posture.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and manage security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Conduct security awareness training programs and act as a security assurance analyst on internal and external projects.

**About You**:
**Essential Criteria**:

- Perform security monitoring and detection to determine relevancy, and priority and conduct proactive and effective incident management.
- Investigate, respond to (including as a point of escalation), and report on security incidents.
- Contribute with management to the development, deployment and management of security policies, procedures, standards, and strategies based on recognised security frameworks such as NIST, CIS and ISO27001.

**Desirable Criteria**:

- Relevant tertiary level qualification and certification in Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), GIAC certifications, or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
- Strong knowledge of security monitoring, operations processes, and common industry technologies.
- Experience with perimeter security controls, IPS, IDS, DDOS/WAF protection, DNS/Content Filtering, and Endpoint Protection.
- Proficiency in security tools such as LogRhythm SIEM, ESET AV, SentinelOne EDR, and Cisco Essentials content filtering is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and customer relationship building skills.
- Ability to mentor and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
