- This is a permanent role and is part of our wider Information Services team.
- This position would suit a Business Analyst seeking to move into cybersecurity.

**Your Role**:
This is a newly created role to join our growing Cyber Security team which currently has 3 other members. The purpose of this team and position is it help KiwiRail make secure choices and understand the ICT security implications of actions and initiatives. You will achieve this by educating and guiding staff, managing incidents, managing remediations, and monitoring and investigating.

This position will take a major role in operationalising PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliance and conducting risk assessment activities to assure that major initiatives do not introduce cyber vulnerabilities into KiwiRail.

Key responsibilities include:

- Conduct and manage other in conducting PCI DSS compliance activities
- Identifying risks to important information assets, and the controls to mitigate these risks
- Manage the investigation and/or remediation of cyber security vulnerabilities
- Liaising with both internal and external stakeholders including vendors
- Developing and delivering cyber security awareness and training
- Report writing, assessments, recommendations

You may also be asked to:

- Manage cyber security incidents, some monitoring, and liaising with internal and external teams around these incidents.
- Assist in the development of the Cyber Security capability including policies, standards, frameworks, and processes to ensure our ICT landscape is secure.

**Your Skills**:
Awareness of PCI DSS and the NZISM (NZ Information security Manual) Certification and Accreditation would be advantageous.

You should also have experience in some of the following as an analyst, project co-ordination, incident/problem management and have good client facing/vendor management as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Most importantly, you will be good with people, have a thorough, analytical, and pragmatic approach while also being an excellent problem solver, highly adaptable, with an open and collaborative attitude.
