The secret to our success is our people. While we are ordinary people, we are not all the same. We welcome diversity, in all its forms, in fact we consider it a strength. Join us and work at the heart of national security to protect New Zealand and New Zealanders.
**Working with the NCSC**:
Every day the NCSC's Cyber Resilience Analysts work to protect New Zealanders and their interests. They form a critical part of the wider NCSC team defending national security, raising cyber resilience and facilitating digital transformation.
The NCSC's mission produces a unique working environment and team atmosphere. It brings together people with a wide range of skills, background and experience motivated to work collaboratively to make a difference. You will also be part of a broader community, with opportunities to work with our domestic agencies and international partners on important initiatives.
**The Cyber Resilience Unit**:
As part of our Unit, you will be working alongside other Cyber Resilience Analysts and Cyber Security Advisors to deliver key customer-facing services. An established Unit, with a strong focus on understanding the level of New Zealand's cyber resilience and supporting the uplift of that resilience.
The Cyber Resilience Analyst will be located within our growing Resilience Analysis and Reporting team.
**More about the role**:
Analysis and communication go hand-in-hand for this role. You will be responsible for exploring available data to understand and explain it to a wider audience. This could include understanding the strengths and weakness of the data itself or interpreting how we can meet stakeholder requirement using available data. You will also be required to draw conclusions about the cyber resilience of organisations or sectors, helping to define meaningful reports to our customers and policy stakeholders.
**What we are looking for**:
As part of a growing team, we need a Cyber Resilience Analyst that:
- Is a critical thinker and can undertake objective analysis.
- Has some experience with using analysis tools like PowerBi, Elastic or Excel to derive insights from large data sets.
- Can build on a background in any analytical field while developing their cyber security expertise.
- Are team players, supporting a collaborative working environment.
- Have attention to detail and take pride in the quality of their work.
- Are flexible and can adapt to reflect the needs of our customers.
You'd be a great fit for this role if you have performed in a previous analytical role in any field - especially where this has required you to work with large, diverse, sets.
