Are you a dedicated Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) professional with a strong background in the Design & Build industry? If you are passionate about promoting safety, compliance, and operational excellence, we invite you to join our team as an HSEQ Manager. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our projects meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility.
**Responsibilities**:
- Utilise your Design & Build industry experience to drive safety and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to national work health and safety standards.
- Develop and lead teams to achieve safety and compliance objectives.
- Communicate effectively, influencing stakeholders, and solving problems.
- Collaborate as a team player to promote a culture of safety.
- Lead the region in health, safety, and environmental control to ensure compliance with required standards, legal requirements, and ISO standards.
- Manage HSE to ensure regional risk management plans are implemented.
- Participate in internal audits and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
- Conduct accident and incident investigations and notify Statutory Authorities as necessary.
- Conduct regular project site H&S inspections on an agreed schedule.
- Establish consultation arrangements to ensure H&S workplace consultation is operating effectively.
- Ensure project documentation aligns with the Unispace methodology and procedures.
- Monitor and maintain regional Injury Frequency Rates.
- Perform regular site inspections and report findings.
- Be proactive in engaging with sub-contractors and the delivery team.
- Take ownership of the NZ H&S operations.
**Your experience**:
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience as an HSEQ Advisor in the construction industry.
- Familiarity with online platforms such as Procore, Sign on Site, Openspace, etc.
- Identify and recommend continuous improvement initiatives to the Regional Safety Manager.
- Maintain Unispace accreditation for Auckland, ensuring compliance.
- Relevant industry experience and expertise.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- A commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
