Ventia NZ provides an integrated full FM, outcomes-based service solution to Auckland City Council including open space and hard and soft services under a self-delivered and sub-contracted partnership model.

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Team Manager (General Services) supports integrated service delivery and Ventia’s whole-of-asset focus. The role is responsible for the management of General Services teams providing combined sanitation and waste, hard services and open space services falling within the General Services.

This particular role will look after Upper Harbour and Hibiscus coast and will have at least two direct reports with up to 20 staff members.

**Other Key Accountabilities**
- Recruitment, onboarding and training of team members
- Rostering, delegation of duties
- Analysis of electronic vehicle monitoring and phone records
- Coaching and mentoring of team members to achieve the best possible outcomes for our business and clients
- Performance management and disciplinary processes.
- toolbox talks, training sessions in an engaging way, and be prepared to accept feedback on new ways of working from operational teams
- Staff engagement and productivity as measured by engagement surveys, ER transactional activity and turnover
- Development and maintenance of inclusive workplace culture
- Compliance with Ventia Code of Conduct
- Auckland Council and Ventia internal Audit scores
- HSEQ audits
- Processing Customer complaints
- Compliance with purchasing, work allocation and administrative systems.

**ABOUT YOU**

You will preferably have relevant experience in Sanitation and Waste or Hard Surfaces Delivery. Additional qualifications and/or knowledge of employment relations and SHEQ is advantageous.

A full driver’s licence is required as well as strong knowledge of workplace health and safety practices

Ideally you will be a people person with the ability to mentor, coach, and motivate a busy and hardworking team.

Your ability to drive consistency, influence and implement change within a department will be key to your success in this role

**Other requirements**:

- Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices
- Knowledge of power tool use, storage and handling
- Knowledge of current industry standards relevant to relevant Trades Services operations
- Ability to use industrial equipment
