You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the development and implementation of a robust companywide HSEQ programme. You will lead initiatives to promote a positive HSEQ culture, provide expert guidance, and ensure compliance with legal standards and best practices. This position offers an opportunity to drive impactful change and contribute to a safe and healthy work environment.

This role can be based out of one of these Auckland offices, Airport Oaks, Ellerslie, or Mount Wellington, with travel across all sites.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain the company's safety management framework to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Plan, coordinate, and execute HSEQ activities, strategies, and planning across all operational areas
- Lead global HSEQ reporting requirements and conduct audits to maintain high standards of safety and quality
- Manage the safety management system, ensuring policies, procedures, and protocols are current and effective
- Identify, assess, and mitigate workplace hazards and risks, collaborating closely with functional managers
- Support occupational health initiatives and lead projects aimed at enhancing HSEQ performance
- Monitor legislative changes and industry best practices, recommending and implementing improvements as necessary
- Provide quarterly HSEQ reporting and present to the Country Management team

**Key Requirements**:

- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in H&S or HSEQ leadership roles, preferably within a complex organisational setting
- Proven track record in developing and implementing HSEQ procedures, policies, and training programs
- Experience in either warehousing, chemical, engineering, or industrial environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with HSEQ management software
- Exceptional judgment and decision-making skills, particularly under pressure
- Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Autonomous and self-driven with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Strong leadership qualities with a collaborative and inclusive work style
- Motivated by results and committed to achieving excellence in HSEQ practices
