**Regional Refuge Service Delivery Manager**

**Shakti Community Council Inc. is a 27-year-old not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the well-being of migrant refugee women and families of Asian, Middle Eastern and African origins. Led by ethnic women for ethnic women, we work to enhance social justice, women's rights and contribute to safer ethnic communities.**

12-month contract with the possibility of long-term employment

Location - Wellington, Christchurch.

Shakti works with a number of government departments, donor providers, and local bodies to provide ongoing care for its clients nationally.

**The Key Duties & Responsibilities**:
Providing leadership, guidance, supervision and coaching (One to one or Group) to the local team of social workers and support workers.

Promote and role model the values of Shakti including good employer principles and practices and expected high standards of responsiveness and behavior.

Build and enhance a positive work culture across the team, that supports continuous learning and improvement through review of case studies and ongoing feedback.

Monitor ongoing cases through Excess Database nationally and provide an adequate response to the Social Workers as needed.

Work closely with the Shakti Crisis team to provide support, guidance, and supervision for crisis management.

Work cohesively and collaboratively with other Regional Refuge Service Delivery Managers and National Refuge Service Delivery Manager to develop plans to manage regional issues and achieve sustainable outcomes.

Networking & representing Shakti in the domestic violence sector with key regional stakeholders.

The Service Delivery Manager is required to do spot checks or audit the safehouse and Client files so that the staff is well prepared for any MSD audit or other funders' audit.

**Work Experience and Skills**
- You will have a NZ recognized qualification and registration with New Zealand's Social Work Registration Board.
- Experience working with the Government Department or NGO set up with women and children in New Zealand or Internationally.
- Experience in managing crisis intervention.
- Knowledge of EEO principles and work safety.
- Proficiency in English Language -verbal and written. Fluency in at least one Asian, Middle Eastern or African language.
- Be passionate about working with women and children and ensuring their safety while promoting social equality.
