The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi These two Regional Delivery Advisor positions are senior roles within our Wellington and Central North Island Infrastructure Delivery regional teams, which play an essential part in supporting the team's effective delivery of the regional work programme and driving continuous improvements.

As a key member of the Infrastructure Delivery regional leadership team, you will be working closely with the Regional Manager and Project Managers; providing advice and analysis and leading delivery and improvement initiatives.

You'll help to manage the team's performance and the coordination of its work programme.

You will actively support the Regional Manager to identify and drive delivery excellence and continuous improvement initiatives in the team, as part of delivering Waka Kotahi strategic priorities and the goals of the Infrastructure Delivery Team.

You'll work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders at both the regional and national level.

This is a pivotal role within our Infrastructure Delivery Team, and we are looking for highly experienced advisors with a strong understanding of the machinery of government, who have a real passion for delivery excellence and helping to lead high-performing teams.

About you | Ko koe tēnei Our successful Regional Delivery Advisors will bring:

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills and the ability to provide high quality advice and reporting
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, preferably with experience in central or local government
  • Thorough understanding of robust project management and what it takes to deliver effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to see the big picture, learn quickly, and make connections
  • Proven experience in leading, influencing and working collaboratively across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen
  • Ability to proactively identify and drive business and work programme improvements
  • Ability to identify trends and risks to be managed before they materialise
  • Ideally experience working on engineering and infrastructure projects or operational project delivery
  • A genuine passion to build on or develop an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori.
