This purpose is the very heart of why we exist, it's our reason for being here.

We are driven by our values of being trusted, sustainably minded, innovative, generous, and curious. As a team, we take a collaborative approach and have a working environment where all ideas are heard, evaluated, and tested against our leading goal - to be the world's most human centered appliance brand.

This is where you come in

As a Project Lead - Sourced Product, you will be responsible for leading the specification and delivery of New Product Introduction (NPI) projects cross-functionally through the business and via external suppliers. You will be part of the Cooking Sourced, Rangehoods and Accessories Product Group, reporting to the Chief Engineer and work in a team alongside other Project Leads on Fisher & Paykel, Haier and DCS Brand cooking products.

You could be based in either Auckland or Dunedin.

Key Responsibilities
- Project leadership through all phases of the project lifecycle
- Preparation of Project Briefs and Concept Papers (business cases) in collaboration with key cross-functional stakeholders
- Managing project timeline, scope, budget and risks - ensuring delivery to promise and visibility of status, issues and resolution actions.
- Ensuring decisions are knowledge based, cross-functionally aligned and consider commercial trade-offs against customer interests.
- Leading and influencing resolution of issues with product design, quality, performance and production.
- Building and maintaining relationships with key external suppliers and leveraging their capability for both product and technology.

What we are looking for...

You are an existing project leader, project engineer or experienced lead engineer wanting to move into a project management role on the back of previously demonstrated capability. You will have sound technical systems knowledge, commercial acumen and understand project cross-functional interactions to effectively plan, mitigate risks and deliver value for our customers and the business.

Key attributes we are looking for you to demonstrate:

- Strategic thinking and the ability to articulate business and project vision
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Achievement driven with a commercial and collaborative mind-set
- A curious and innovative approach to problem solving and risk management
- Sound understanding of project management principles, systems and processes
- Excellent stakeholder relationship management skills at all levels

A tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering field is essential and any additional accreditation in project management methodologies would be valued, but is not a prerequisite.

What we offer

Our environment is designed to allow people to thrive and work at their best. Our culture is one in which our people can constantly develop, working alongside a team of talented leaders and engineers. At Fisher & Paykel you will have opportunities for technical and leadership growth within a global organisation.

You’ll be part of a team-based culture that offers benefits such as development opportunities, a challenging and supportive work environment, leading technology, work/life balance, competitive remuneration, superannuation scheme and buying privileges.
