We are looking for an experienced Project Lead to deliver 3Waters projects as part of our Corrections & Justice Projects team in Auckland. You’ll provide full project lifecycle delivery of the project working to take them from the tendering phase through to completion
As the 3 Waters Project Lead, you will manage the project life cycle, deliverables and reporting of projects for Downer in relation to Three Waters Projects. You will be providing the overarching technical guidance, expertise and best practice processes in relation to the Three Water Projects for the projects team.
Your other responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Provision leadership for the project team in the 3 waters disciplines by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.
- Taking financial responsibility for revenue, costs, and margins on projects within the Three Waters Contract in liaison with National Programme Manager.
- Act as an internal quality control check for the project documents with a particular focus on Health and Safety.
- Reviewing quotes and detailed project plans for all phases of the project lifecycle. Ensuring Downer achieves, at a minimum, the required margins through delivery efficiencies and cost reduction improvements..

- Technical skills, experience, and qualifications within the Hydraulic and Three Waters industry.
- Advanced planning skills, focused on delivering BAU with excellence whilst growing our market
- Strong communication skills including the ability to build and maintain relationships at both client and direct report level
- Demonstrated capability in regards to financial and performance management
