Auckland City, New Zealand Auror Full time

Description

About Auror

At Auror, we’re empowering the retail industry to tackle theft and Organised Retail Crime, a $150 Billion problem globally. It’s high volume crime that’s increasingly organised in nature and is putting people, retailers, and communities at risk every day.

Founded in New Zealand 11 years ago, we’re working with some of the best and largest retailers in the world across the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.

Auror is connecting people and intelligence to reduce crime. We’re using technology for good.

In partnership with our leading retail partners, we need people with the passion, determination, and innovation required to overcome one of the world's largest problems. If you’re looking to make a difference with and for the people dedicated to stopping crime, for good, then we want you on our team.

The Role

Our innovative License Plate Recognition (LPR) product module enables retailers to solve and prevent crime. Real-time notifications are sent to store teams, alerting them to known vehicles as they arrive at their stores. With the help of LPR, the stores are able to respond to the potential threat, keeping their stores safe and driving better loss prevention outcomes. Our customers are increasing their adoption of LPR globally, as such we need your help to scale this product to each of our markets. To learn more about our LPR solution, check it out here.

Location and hours

This is an Auckland-based role, we value co-location and have a hybrid flexible working model. Our LPR product is leveraged by customers in NZ, AU, US and UK, this role will require you to be flexible with your working hours in order to effectively support our customers and internal teams globally. This role will also involve some travel, heading out to customer sites to provide on-the-ground support of pilots and rollouts, this would be on average 2 - 3 days per month.

**Practically this will involve**:
**Project Management**: Partner with relevant stakeholders to oversee the scoping, design, and delivery of LPR implementations, both for single site customers as well as retails with thousands of sites. You’ll act as a project manager for LPR deployments, ensuring successful planning, rollout, and ongoing support for our customers.

**Technical Expertise**: Develop a deep understanding of Auror's LPR integrations and product capability, considering both technical and commercial aspects and be the point of contact for our customers, integrators and internal teams for all LPR related queries. This will include supporting our commercial teams in sales opportunities and running successful proof of concepts and rollouts.

**Engineering Collaboration**: Work closely with the engineering team to set up monitoring and alerting systems, identifying areas for improvement and enhancement in LPR technology.

**Supplier Relationship Management**: Build and maintain a network of suppliers for direct supply of LPR hardware and software. You will also work closely and in partnership with our integrators (external to Auror) to ensure a smooth roll out and maintenance of the systems.

**Market Awareness**: Understand market differences and use of LPR technology across our global markets.

**Customer Success Collaboration**: Partner with Customer Success teams to facilitate seamless customer LPR rollouts, ensuring the team is equipped for success.

**Ownership and Communication**: Take ownership of technical issues and questions related to LPR. Communicate clearly with relevant teams, providing updates and following through to resolution.

This role reports to James Corbett, VP of Technology and Innovation

As a technical founder at Auror my role has changed a lot over the years, and right now I hold the position of VP of Technology and Innovation. What this means is that I spend a bunch of my time looking at new [to Auror] technologies and partnering with our product teams to figure out how we could leverage them within our platform to bring even greater value to our customers. The other focus I have is building out the technical support structures that will allow Auror to scale as we take on the global crime problem. I love what we are about here at Auror, and it makes me proud to be part of a high performing team that is building a platform that helps keep our communities safe. I love seeing those around doing amazing work and I'm always ready to roll up my sleeve to help people meet their potential. Outside of Auror you will find me wandering around the zoo with my preschooler and toddler, and when it’s warmer, at the beach building giant sand castles.

**Requirements**:
About you

Previous experience working with LPR technology or other security focused technology is advantageous. Must have worked with both hardware and software solutions.
Experienced rolling out and leading complex technical programmes of work that involves collaborating and liaising with a wide range of internal and externa
