This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Advisor to deliver best practice, joining up storytelling and stakeholder engagement to support this important work programme. Ko koe tēnei | About you To be successful in this Senior Advisor role, you will have strong stakeholder relationship, communication, and writing skills and will enjoy working in an agile environment delivering within prioritised timeframes.'You will have experience developing and managing communications across a range of channels to tell one transport story. This is an ideal role for someone energetic who is excellent at getting other people on board with your ideas and sharing your enthusiasm for our environment.'You need to be able to find the stories that enhance and protect the reputation of Waka Kotahi, produce high quality targeted collateral, and develop plans to mitigate and capitalise on risks and opportunities. You Will Also Have:

- Excellent writing and editing skills and experience presenting complex information clearly and simply
- Sound knowledge of communications and engagement tools, techniques, and channels
- Other specialist communications and engagement skills i.e., internal communications, event management, marketing communications, stakeholder engagement, change communications
- Proven ability to build relationships with people at all levels
- Experience working with or in Government and working on climate change initiatives is highly desirable
- A tertiary qualification in communications or a related discipline
- Training or qualification in IAP2 is desirable

You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
