Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity This is a unique opportunity to play an influential role as the Lead Advisor Māori in a multi-agency programme. A key principle of the programme is by Māori, for Māori and the programme is committed to ensuring that this principle is embedded within the work of the programme. As the Lead advisor you will play a critical role to help ensure this principal is at the heart of the work we do. A driver licence has been called 'the key to the door of, life's opportunities but some New Zealanders are missing out because of barriers in the driver licensing system.' Not having a driver licence can affect people's access to employment, training, community activities, and health services for themselves and their families. The Driver Licensing Improvement Programme has been established to reduce these barriers and make getting a driver licence more accessible for people across Aotearoa New Zealand, no matter where they live. Better access to driver licensing will improve employment opportunities and community participation, and result in more drivers trained to drive safely. Moou ake | About You In this newly created role, we are seeking an experienced Leader Advisor, who can lead, develop, and manage partnerships with Iwi, to ensure strong, positive relationships are formed and maintained. You will bring:

- Proven experience as a lead advisor on high profile complex programme within a government organisation
- High level of proficiency in Māori language
- Lead advisor in Tikanga
- Previous experience ensuring positive outcomes for Māori are at the forefront of a work programme.
