**Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role**

The Academic Leader role will be based at our Rotorua campus but may need to travel to other campuses in the rohe at times. The successful applicant will be leading our Social work team to ensure we are delivering viable and sustainable tertiary education in the Bay of Plenty. They will also be contributing to the teaching of the programmes within this portfolio, which include a Bachelor of Social Work and Certificate of Youth Work.

The appointing salary for this role will be between $90,000 and $100,000, dependent on skills and experience.

The Academic Lead Social is based in our Toi Ohomai | Te Pūkenga reporting to the Associate Dean Education, Nursing, Social Work and English Language and will be responsible for:

- Being learner centred
- Being innovative and supporting innovation
- Developing and fostering meaningful and effective partnerships
- Providing excellent professional education

**He kōrero mōu | About you**:
To be successful in this role you will have:

- Current New Zealand Social work registration
- Knowledge and understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi and the ability to work with diverse cultures
- Knowledge and understanding of academic processes
- Experience teaching at tertiary level
