**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Process invoices, payments, and expenses, ensuring all are correctly coded and approved.
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, including follow-up on outstanding invoices.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial close processes.
- Support the preparation and processing of payroll, ensuring timely and accurate processing of employee payments and deductions.
- Maintain payroll records and respond to employee payroll inquiries.
- Monitor and manage outstanding debts, perform credit checks on new clients, and set up terms of credit.
- Work with the Finance Manager to resolve any outstanding payment issues.
- Perform ad-hoc administrative duties as needed to support the team, coordinate office activities and operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies.
- Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and other clerical tasks.
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders regarding financial transactions and queries.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial information is accurately reflected and aligned with business operations.

**Qualifications**
- **Education**: Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- **Experience**: Previous experience in a finance or accounting role is beneficial experience, preferably within the construction or roofing industry.
- **Skills**:

- Strong numerical and analytical capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Familiarity with Xero accounting software
- **Attributes**:

- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
