**The Company & the Role**:
A leading consultancy in their field of Structural Engineering is seeking an experienced CPEng Structural Engineer to step into a Project Director position in their Christchurch office. The company is dedicated to providing industry-leading and sustainable engineering solutions for a wide range of clients and projects. As a Project Director, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and overseeing project delivery. Another key area will be getting involved with business development and maintaining already strong relationships in the industry.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Manage and oversee multiple projects simultaneously
- Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
- Prepare proposals, bids, and tender submissions
- Conduct site visits and attend client meetings as required
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team as required
- Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of staff
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering (NZ experience required)
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) registration
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
- Strong technical expertise in structural engineering principles and software
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
