**Tēnei tūranga - About the role**:
Working alongside the General Manager Partnership & Programmes, Head of Digital & Programmes is an integral role, providing independent advice and leadership support.

The Head of Digital & Programmes is responsible for the assessment and commissioning of projects within their business area, commensurate with the overarching Enterprise Architecture. The roles require a comprehensive understanding of MBIE strategies and operations and the ability to work in partnership with senior leaders to deliver digital and technology related results.

There are three Head of Digital & Programmes roles supporting MBIE Groups and reporting to the General Manager Partnership & Programmes. Each role provides expert strategic advice to the Deputy Secretary of their allocated business group/s while also working together to ensure an integrated joined up approach across MBIE.
- Head of Digital & Programmes - Corporate & Policy
- Head of Digital & Programmes - Immigration New Zealand (also covers the remaining MIQ activities)
- Head of Digital & Programmes - Te Whakatairanga Service Delivery Ngā pukenga me ngā wheako e hiahiatia ana - Skills and experience required:

- Proven senior experience of leading enabling functions in a complex technical and service delivery environment.
- Experience of leading strategic development of systems and frameworks.
- Proven ability to successfully partner with senior leaders.
- Proven experience and achievement in developing and implementing strategic projects and programmes.
- Proven ability to successfully build the trust and engagement of senior leaders through personal advocacy, vision, drive and working collaboratively with colleagues.
- Proven ability to proactively lead and build a sense of common purpose across Digital Data & Insights, actively looking for opportunities to build engagement and commitment within the group and across MBIE.
- Proven ability to remain up-to-date on key technical changes and opportunities in their specialist area and proactively use this to continuously improve MBIE services.
- Wide ranging knowledge of Ministry’s needs and obligations across regulatory systems, economic and social drivers, and service delivery to business within complex information technology environment.
