Our Art Department provides in house art direction and concept services to multiple VFX projects. We also function as a concept house for external clients developing projects around the globe. We are a team of 10 talented artists who bring a wide range of skills to our very diverse workload. This is a very unique opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and building a team who is quick to adapt to a variety of workflows, project requirements and clients.

As the Art Department Manager you will be responsible for overseeing all scheduled work and managing the department crew. The role is creative, collaborative and requires the ability to think quickly, plan effectively and manage with accuracy.
- Maintain an overview of the department schedule and manage resource requirements, working with the Head of Department (HoD), Sr Art Producer, VFX Producers, Production Managers and Central Production to do so.
- Along with the HoD, will work with the team to ensure deliverables are of a quality expected from a world class concept house.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of the requirements and challenges of incoming projects shared across the department.
- Have excellent communication and negotiation skills in order to effectively and calmly manage schedule and brief changes as they happen.
- Be highly organized and efficient, able to change focus and adapt to unexpected project needs at a moments notice.
- Forecast resource requirements for the department - identifying key shortfalls and anticipating surplus crew scenarios.
- Approve artist leave and formulate coverage plans for any artist absence to ensure project targets are not compromised.
- Be an effective crew manager who fosters career development within the team and possesses strong leadership qualities, with the confidence to front department plans and form a solid partnership with the Dept HoD.
