Aviation Security Service (AvSec) is the Government provider of aviation security in Aotearoa New Zealand, operating at our 6 major airports. As part of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), our role is to deliver premier aviation security, while enabling a high quality, responsive passenger experience. We pride ourselves in excellence and you will contribute to our continuous improvement mindset with a proactive, can-do attitude.
The Scheduler performs short-term planning for all 6 airports thatAvSec operates from within NZ. They work on a 24/7 shift cycle and process all operational changes to the rostering system each day. Work will be carried out at our centre as well as some shifts rostered to work from home, so your home needs to be suitable for this. All computer equipment will be supplied.

The Scheduler is responsible for a range of activities including:

- Using our rostering management system, Quintiq, to assign duties to meet operational demand
- Work within the workforce planning process
- Act as an advisor to the operation and recommend solutions for efficiency and effectiveness

Ko tāu e kawe mai ai | What You’ll Bring
You will have experience at rostering, scheduling or planning and be comfortable and able to work in a 24/7 rostering environment. You will be able to build relationships with a wide range of people across the operation and provide sound advice to support them in their role.
The National Rostering Centre is located at Aintree Avenue near Auckland Airport, with free parking available to staff.
