**Tēnei tūranga - About the Role**:
We’re looking for a superstar communications professional with strong social media experience to join us in MBIE's Communications, Design and Ministerial Services branch.

The Communications and Social Media Advisor is a role that supports two teams, the Corporate Communications team and the Design and Marketing team.

We are looking for someone with very strong writing and relationship building skills to support teams in our corporate area who make sure that staff feel supported, are happy to come to work each day, and have the tools and resources they need to do their best work.

You will also be responsible for managing MBIE’s corporate social media channels - LinkedIn, Facebook, X and Instagram.

You will be collaborative, people-focused and thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment. You will be innovative in your approach to delivering best practice customer-focused communications. Working as part of strong teams of advisors, you will be encouraged and supported to contribute to the excellent communications we deliver to the Ministry and our external stakeholders.

**We are keen to hear from you if you have**:

- Experience in the development and implementation of engagement plans, and in the writing and delivery of appropriate and audience focused products
- Experience in a social media role with expertise in content creation, scheduling, publishing and engagement
- A good knowledge of current digital marketing techniques and best practice
- The ability to quickly establish and build strong working relationships and to develop trust and credibility with key internal and external stakeholders
- Understanding of media, proactive planning, multi-media and digital communications
- A proactive, can-do attitude with a high level of initiative, sound judgement and discretion
- Must have a legal right to live and work in NZ
