**Mō te tūnga | About the role**

Sitting within the People Performance and Culture (PPC/HR) team and reporting to the PPC manager this role is responsible for creating and implementing an effective, tailored Learning & Development (L&D) Framework for an NFP delivering residential and community social services within the disability sector.

The role focuses on empowering employees to maximise their potential and contribute positively towards achieving the organisation's operations and strategic goals by meeting the core compliance training needs efficiently and effectively and going beyond this with development opportunities for all of the workforce.

Key responsibilities:

- Conduct learning needs analyses to identify organisational skill, knowledge, and behaviour gaps and determine appropriate learning interventions.
- Develop and implement an effective, tailored L&D framework, including tools and templates to support various learning styles and delivery methods.
- Design and develop engaging, diverse, and effective learning interventions, incorporating various learning methods and styles.
- Evaluate the outcomes of learning interventions, measuring their effectiveness, relevance, and return on investment.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and growth mindset across the organisation, emphasising the importance of learning and development, innovation, and personal development.
- Ensure alignment of the L&D framework with the organisation’s mission, goals, and strategy.
- Project manage and implement the L&D framework, monitoring progress and adjusting as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to promote and support the L&D framework.
- Maintain knowledge of sector trends and best practices, recommending updates and improvements to the L&D framework.**:

- **Provide flexible support, adapt to changing demands to and work and deliver L&D opportunities within whare, office, and remote environments.

The role is based in Otahuhu which may change to a more central location later in the year.

**Ko wai koe | About You**

This large piece of work requires a strong background in instructional design, needs analysis, and evaluation methodologies enabling the organisation to meet both sector standards and internal needs.

You will need to bring a significant amount of experience of combined HR and/or L&D including leading and setting up learning and development frameworks in an operational or service sector workforce.

Collaboration will be key as you immerse yourself in the business to fully understand the overall strategy and objectives of the business while also anticipating future skill requirements. To this end you will need to be a confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills, easily able to convey the benefits and positive impact of learning initiatives.

Confident with technology you are skilled in leveraging tech tools and platforms to enhance learning experiences while also staying updated on emerging technologies.

Your skills will include:

- A Bachelor's degree in Education, Organisational Development, Human Resources, or a related field.
- An advanced level of computer literacy.
- Excellent project management, collaboration, and communication skills.
- A formal project management qualification (highly desirable).
- Experience working within a kaupapa Maori organisation (highly desirable).
- Healthcare, disability, or primary workforce experience (highly desirable).
