Here at Cater Plus we are on the hunt for a motivated site manager to run our in-house cafeteria. You will be based at AMP Café at the Auckland Meat Processing site in Otahuhu. Enjoy working close to public transport with the added bonus of having access to free car parking if you drive on a daily basis. No working weekends or public holidays.

You will be a hands-on chef actively involved in the creating, cooking, and presentation of all food, as well as the day-to-day running of the cafeteria. With the support of a catering assistant, you will be responsible for making our customers smile and keeping them coming back for more. Our clientele at this site enjoy their cooked breakfasts, hot meals of the day, and cabinet food.

This position requires a chef with a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience, who can:

- Prepare, cook, and serve a variety of cuisine
- Monitor quality of food at all stages of preparation and presentation
- Create menus to cater for a varied clientele and dietary requirements
- Manage food and labour costs within budget
- Discuss food preparation issues with managers and kitchen staff
- Implement New Zealand Food Control and Safety regulations
- Maintain a clean, tidy, safe and hazard free environment.
- Demonstrate great communication skills and moderate computer literacy
- Show a flexible, can-do, committed attitude

This is a full-time permanent position, working Monday to Friday 4.30am to 1pm with an immediate start. You will need to be resilient and comfortable working within the unique environment of a meat processing plant. This does, however, offer the benefit of having access to a discounted meat shop on site.
