**Your role in the team** will be to support the uptake of our developing network of persistent identifiers (PIDs) across research and the machine-actionable DMP solution. You will be: creating user guides and training materials for client groups to utilise online and in-person; co-designing, facilitating, and participating in interactive stakeholder workshops, including developing materials, synthesising findings and producing actionable insights; designing and developing presentation documents and graphics that summarise and communicate RDM programme benefits; and creating metrics to track the successful uptake of these two initiatives to inform future engagement.
This role will navigate complex and ambiguous business challenges by asking the right questions and communicating results to multiple audiences (e.g., researchers, business leaders, partners and program managers, technical peers). Key to the success of this role and the programme will be communication and collaboration across the programme team - recognising, enabling and tapping into the strengths of the programme team and CeR colleagues.
This is a fulltime (37.5 hours per week), fixed term role from January 2023 to 31 July 2024.
Remuneration: $78,500 - $97,000 dependent on experience

**He kōrero mōu | About you**
We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to put their engagement skills to use, working alongside researchers and stakeholders from diverse domains across the Waipapa Taumata Rau | University of Auckland. You will have experience in human-centred design or co-design to support uptake of services or processes, including producing and delivering system user guides or training materials. You may bring a selection of the following to this role: experience with working in research or research management environments; understanding of systems and technology across the research phases; and/or the development of personas, use cases, and user acceptance evaluation.
You will be a fast learner, effective communicator and problem solver who takes ownership to deliver results in our collaborative environment. Your work will contribute to and benefit from the team’s broad skill base.
**Mō tō mātou rōpū | About the team**
The Research Data Management (RDM) Programme aims to uplift data management maturity capability at the University. Specifically, this involves three initiatives that will provide:
- secure research data and analysis environments with governance controls,
- an online machine-actionable Data Management Planning (DMP) solution, and
- a connected research ecosystem using persistent identifiers (PIDs).
These will enable researchers and the University to manage research data following best practices, including FAIR, CARE and Māori Data Sovereignty principles.
This role is based within the Centre for eResearch, a research platform providing capability to the research community across the University of Auckland. Researchers’ needs are always changing, so the support CeR offers is constantly evolving to keep pace with emerging needs and opportunities.
