**Job Description**:
**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**
**Your role Research Data Management Programme team, based within the Centre for eResearch, **will be to conduct research to map, evaluate, and understand requirements, issues, processes, and opportunities for our existing and potential network of persistent identifiers across the research ecosystem and developing a machine-actionable Data Management Planning solution. You will be:
- co-designing and facilitating istakeholder workshops, including developing workshop materials,
- synthesising findings and producing actionable insights,
- developing presentation documents that summarise and effectively communicate these findings, and
- creating metrics to track the success of pilot implementations.
This role will navigate complex business challenges by asking the right questions and communicating results to multiple audiences (e.g., researchers, business leaders, partners and program managers, technical peers). Key to the success of this role and the programme will be communication and collaboration across the programme team - recognising, enabling and tapping into the strengths of colleagues.

Remuneration: $78,500 - $97,000 dependent on experience

**He kōrero mōu | About you**
We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to put their engagement skills to use, working alongside researchers and stakeholders from diverse domains across the University community. You will have experience in human-centred design or co-design to develop or improve services or processes. This might include experience mapping, the development of personas, use cases, and user acceptance evaluation.
You may bring some of the following to this role:
- experience with working in research or research management environments,
- knowledge across the research phases,
- understanding of systems and technology enabling research,
- experience producing and delivering s user guides or training materials.
You will be a fast learner, effective communicator and problem solver who takes ownership to deliver results in our collaborative environment.
**Mō tō mātou rōpū | About the team**
The Research Data Management Programme aims to lift data management maturity capability at the University. Specifically, this involves three initiatives that will provide:
- secure research data and analysis environments with governance controls,
- an online machine-actionable Data Management Planning (DMP) solution, and
- a connected research ecosystem using persistent identifiers (PIDs).
These will enable researchers and the University to manage research data following best practices, including FAIR, CARE and Māori Data Sovereignty principles.
This role is based within the Centre for eResearch, a research platform providing capability to the research community across the University of Auckland. Researchers’ needs are always changing, so the support CeR offers is constantly evolving to keep pace with emerging needs and opportunities.
