In this role you will proactively engage with the research community (research staff, research postgraduates, and those that support them) across the University raising awareness and use of modern research technologies and tools, including CeR services. You will enable researchers to
manage research data following institutional and national policy and best practices, including FAIR, CARE and Māori Data Sovereignty principles, through the delivery of data consultations, presentations, workshops, and online resources. You will also contribute to the delivery of digital research skills and community building offerings (e.g., Carpentries workshops, ResBaz), embedded support to research or strategic projects, and the provision of CeR core services, including improvements to our processes.
This is a fulltime (37.5 hours per week), permanent position
Remuneration: $78,500 to $95,000 per annum

**He kōrero mōu | About you**
We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated person, passionate about engaging with researchers, who wishes to put their research/research support experience to use, working alongside researchers from a diversity of domains. You will have one or more of the following:
- demonstrable understanding of the research data management landscape and best practices,
- experience delivering researcher skills and development opportunities, including online resources,
- experience of proactively interacting with researchers who may not be familiar with digital research and computational tools and technologies,
- experience with using R or Python.
An interest in working with researchers to directly support their research projects (e.g., more in-depth consultation, analytics, customised solutions and development) is desirable. You will contribute to and benefit from the team’s broad skill-base and be excited by the opportunity to work across multiple disciplines and likely in a variety of different capacities.
You will need to be an effective communicator and take ownership to deliver results in our open, collaborative environment.
