The National Account Manager - Government and Corporate is responsible for securing and building strategic relationships within the portfolio, with a key focus on delivering higher share and yield premium. The National Account Manager will play an active role in the planning, delivery and execution of the All of Government Agreement and Corporate and SME account strategy within New Zealand Sales. The National Account Manager will focus on strategically cultivating strong relationships, both internal and external, identifying and executing on incremental revenue opportunities, and delivering end to end account management. The role will build and lead a strategic plan based on enhancing engagement and management of premium customers in New Zealand, particularly within the Chairmans Lounge and Platinum Club categories.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Demonstrated ability to deliver results within a complex business environment with senior professional and government stakeholders
- Strategic selling, account management, contract negotiation and business planning skills developed at a senior level in a competitive sales environment
- Strong commercial orientation and high level of business acumen
- Highly developed negotiation, communication, organisational and influencing skills at senior levels, both internally and externally
- Demonstrated ability to offers unique perspectives on business issues, analyse data and information, and create customised solutions for customers
- Demonstrated ability to tailor sales messages to resonate with different types of customers
- Demonstrated ability to mobilise customer stakeholders to advocate for your product or service within their organisation
- Experience in strategy development and implementation
- Extensive knowledge and awareness of the airline and travel industry
- Good working knowledge of reporting, CRM systems and multi-media channels including social media
- Knowledge of the Corporate, TMCs, business models, and competitors
