Scheduler - Permanent, National Rostering Centre

Aviation Security Service (AvSec) is the Government provider of aviation security in Aotearoa New Zealand, operating at our six major airports. Part of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), our role is to deliver premier aviation security, while enabling a high quality, responsive passenger experience. We pride ourselves in excellence and you will contribute to our continuous improvement mindset with a pro-active can-do attitude.
To provide cover for a team member going on parental leave, we have an opportunity for someone to join the team on a 12-month fixed term basis.
The Scheduler is responsible for a range of activities including:
- Using our rostering management system, Quintiq to assign duties to meet operational demand
- Work within the workforce planning process
- Act as an advisor to the operation and recommend solutions for efficiency and effectiveness
Ko tāu e kawe mai ai | What You’ll Bring
You will have experience at rostering, scheduling or planning and be comfortable and able to work in a 24 hour/ 7 day a week rostering environment. With excellent communication skills you will be able to build relationships with a wide range of people across the operation and provide sound advice to support them in their role. It is essential that you have a full NZ drivers licence for this role.
The National Rostering Centre is located at Aintree Avenue near Auckland Airport, with free parking available to staff.

We offer 5 weeks of annual leave and can match your Kiwi Saver contribution up to 4%.
