The Māori Health Pipeline is a dedicated multi-disciplinary team of clinicians, researchers, communicators and engagement advisors collectively working on prioritised intervention programmes to reduce the life expectancy gap between Māori and non Māori. Māori Health Pipeline applies a Māori led and whanau centred approach across all the mahi it delivers to help accelerate Māori health gains and create better outcomes for Māori. This mahi may also involve and benefit improving life expectancy and health gains for Pacific and other vulnerable communities.

In this role, your primary purpose is to provide advisory that supports a focus on increasing Māori health outcomes, positive whānau / kaimahi experiences, reducing Māori health inequities, and ensuring that services are appropriate for the whānau we seek to engage with.

On a day-to-day basis, you will coordinate projects and service improvement activities, build and manage collaborative relationships with stakeholders and provide patient or participant engagement and support services across projects within the Māori Health Pipeline, which facilitates clinically and culturally safe care.

To be successful in this role, you will need to build strong relationships and partner with Māori Providers, clinical staff and external groups to develop collateral and key messages for events supporting our programmes of work. Health New Zealand supports flexible and hybrid working for our kaimahi. In roles that don't require an in-person element, we encourage you to ‘work from where you are.' We want our national teams to be made up of diverse people from across the motu, just like our health system.

**Nau mai, uru mai | Come and join us**

When you join us, you become part of transforming the health system. This is a once in a life-time change, that will touch the lives of everyone in Aotearoa, and future generations.

Our name, Te Whatu Ora, means ‘the weaving of wellness'. Whatu is the combining together of people, resources, organisations, thoughts and actions for the betterment and wellbeing of all. Whatu is also a direct reference to the pupil of the eye, and the vision required of the new entity and system.

We are working towards a system that better meets the complex demands of a growing population, addresses the persistent inequalities experienced by Māori and ensures greater access, experience and outcomes for those traditionally not well served by the system - Māori, Pacific and Disabled People.
