Our Sector Digital Channels team is the driving force behind change in our nationally enabled services. We're on a mission to create cost-effective and sustainable digital solutions that revolutionize accessibility. From user-friendly digital self-service options to seamless integration and automation, we're here to make life easier for the workforce.
We take pride in managing, delivering, and providing unwavering support for all our national external services. From Te Whatu Ora to Te Aka Whai Ora and Manatū Hauora, we've got our fingers on the pulse of it all. Plus, we're the champions of developing APIs that foster interconnectedness across systems used by external parties. It's like creating a symphony of seamless integration with the National Immunisation Register and Health Practitioner Index. Together, we're making a real impact.
**Mōu | About you**
As our Delivery Lead, you will be an important part of the Delivery team within Data and Digital. Together, we have the collective accountability for maintaining and enhancing technology services and implementing and supporting Te Whatu Ora priorities.
With your knowledge and leadership, you will be responsible for executing the product vision, strategy and roadmap managing the Product Team's ways of working; guiding the team to realise the product roadmap. Your focus will be on enabling the design and delivery of products and services for the frontline to support our clients. This is crucial in unlocking the value and potential of our delivery capability.
**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- A relevant tertiary qualification.
- Product ownership or programme experience with a toolbox of modern product discovery practices to draw upon.
- Proven experience in the delivery of work, from conceptual design to implementation.
- Ideally, proven experience advocating for a product or service with clients and stakeholders.
- Proven experience using a range of metrics to monitor the success and health of products and services.
- Knowledge of agile frameworks, tools and methodologies with the ability to develop features spanning multiple teams in an Agile environment.
- Knowledge of running retrospectives and implementing continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle and iterative delivery methods.
- Knowledge of DevOps.
- Proven experience of making evidence-based decisions.
- Proven experience in navigating a large organisation to ensure those that need to contribute to the work are included at the right time to support delivery.
- Ability to prioritise work items effectively and escalate accordingly when issues arise.
- Proven ability to create clarity for a team — with an organised work style that is structured, rigorous and consistent.
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.
- Strong stakeholder management, relationship building, negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to influence outcomes.
- Ability to coach, mentor and influence others to deliver high quality products.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts across the organisation.
- Experience using project management software e.g., MS Project or similar tools is desirable.
- Advanced skills in Excel spreadsheeting is desirable.
