**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

Our Sector Digital Channels team plays a pivotal role as a catalyst for change in our nationally enabled services. Our mission is to create digital solutions that are both cost-effective and sustainable, revolutionizing accessibility through user-friendly digital self-service options and assisted channels. Through automation and seamless integration, we aim to ease the burden on our workforce.

Our team proudly takes the lead in managing, delivering, and offering unwavering support for all our national external services. These services, curated by Data and Digital, are tailored for entities beyond Health New Zealand, and Manatū Hauora. Additionally, our team champions the development and oversight of APIs that foster interconnectedness across the various systems and services employed by external parties.

**Mōu | About you**

As a Solution Architect you are a member of the Sector Digital Channels team that has the collective accountability for maintaining and enhancing technology services and implementing and supporting Health New Zealand priorities.

You will work primarily with the project delivery product teams to deliver high quality solution architecture designs. You will provide oversight, enabling initiatives to be delivered successfully, complying with the standards and methodologies established by the Enterprise and Domain Architects and the Standards team. You will be responsible for creating the designs for initiatives and providing project oversight throughout the build and implementation phases.

**Ka kawea e koe | You will bring**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant industry certifications both technically and architecturally focused which help support your role.
- Solution Architecture experience 3+ years.
- Strong written and oral communications skills around creating clear and concise solution options papers, solution discussion papers and solution designs and communication these to core stakeholders (e.g. business, programmes and architecture governance groups) to gain endorsement.
- Proven track record of establishing and growing positive and enduring relationships across a range of stakeholder groups.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with ambiguity and identify and set direction.
- Experience educating, teaching, and mentoring on complex technical topics.
- Experience working in an Agile methodology (e.g., Scrum).
- Knowledge of the Health Sector and Government is preferred but not essential.
