**What You Will Do**
Provide specialist management of communications, marketing and outreach as part of the globally recognised Department of Civil and Natural Resources Engineering team. You will actively seek out and tell the stories of our world-class researchers, engaging with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders. You will provide effective planning and coordination in terms of development and update of promotional materials, and social media presence, and maintain a visually appealing and informative department website.

**Who You Are**
In addition to a Bachelor's degree (NZQA Level 7) in Communication or equivalent, you will have:

- At least 5 years of demonstrated outreach/communications coordination or management experience working in an educational or technical industry environment, preferably in large organisations
- Significant experience of managing and organising functions and other events
- Competence with setting and controlling budgets, and with database management
- A high degree of initiative and a creative mindset.

Able to relate to people with varying backgrounds, education and seniority, you will have the ability to work with a wide variety of people, with a flair for quickly developing effective professional relationships. You will also have excellent written and oral communications skills, and a demonstrated competence in the Microsoft Office suite and content management systems.
