**The Opportunity**
The Channel Manager - Distributor Sales is responsible for driving growth in Distributor Managed accounts across the Independent Foodservice channel nationwide. This role is responsible for managing the sales performance of Goodman Fielders Distributors and ensuring best practice execution (programs, pricing, products) across the Goodman Fielder portfolio and Independent Foodservice customer base.

**Strategy**:
Create and drive the delivery of the Channel strategy and plan for Distributor Managed accounts including long term strategic goals and annual performance metrics against budget. Channel plan signed off by the HOSM and reported against monthly.
Collaborate with Channel Managers to understand the role of Distributor Managed accounts in their channel plans and ensure this is executed via the distributor network.
Manage performance of the channel through a channel scorecard and regular reporting.
**Operational Effectiveness**
Define and agree sales performance targets for the Channel and each Distributor.
Partner with the Network Operations Manager to ensure Distributors deliver meet and/or exceed agreed sales and financial performance targets for the channel
Lead best practice execution of key initiatives by our Distributors - activity programmes, pricing, product support.
Grow the basket inline with the Channel Strategy through cross sell/up sell and new customer acquisition.
High levels of collaboration with Channel Managers, Distributors and Field Sales.
**Technical/Functional Competencies**
Strategic agility - proven ability to develop & execute of sound commercial channel strategies.
Commercial and financial literacy including financial and sales data analysis.
Knowledge of and experience in Distributor sales.
Highly collaborative with a strong ability to influence - up, down and across the organisation.
Growth mindset, ability to initiate and lead change.
**Financial**:
- This role has ultimate responsibility for the sales results of distributor managed accounts across the Independent Foodservice channel.
- Development and delivery of the annual budget in line with channel plans.
- Achieve all performance targets including - volume, customer count, CBM.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement/efficiency.

- KPIs are set and performance against these is tracked and managed.
- Build and deliver Sales training to our distributor network to build technical sales capability, portfolio knowledge etc.
- Demonstrate and role model the leadership competencies.

**Experience / Qualifications Required**
- Proven experience in a customer facing sales role - including business development.
