As one of the larger CTS teams in the country, our teams have a breadth and depth of experience and knowledge that support an outstanding and sustainable customer value proposition.

**About the role**

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Assurance Analyst to join us and contribute to the success of our high performing CTS team.

This role will give you the opportunity to work collaboratively, with other CTS teams and wider business, enabling us to meet client objectives and goals more efficiently. We are looking for someone with strong numerical and analytical skills, coupled with the ability to step back and see the 'big picture'.

Key responsibilities in this role may include:

- Providing financial analysis and input for CTS
- Playing a key role in the supervision and monitoring of client activity, particularly in relation to regulatory and FMA requirements
- Monitoring compliance with the terms of appointment and associated statutory obligations in respect of unit trusts, superannuation schemes, KiwiSaver schemes, debt security issues, participatory issues, and other arrangements
- Developing an understanding of CTS contractual and statutory obligations, in particular the Supervisor's role in the different products and offers
- Monitor, review and analyse client reporting obligations (including financial statements, managers' certificates, annual reports and other client reporting).
- Developing and maintaining knowledge of financial services industry and regulatory developments relevant to CTS and its clients
- Developing critical thinking in approach to all client matters
- Perform assurance testing on specific client processes, and conduct or participate in client monitoring visits.

**About you**

Your resilience and ability to multi task under pressure, will aid you in the success of this role, whilst maintaining a positive mind-set.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar capacity/role, ideally within corporate trustee services, fund accounting or banking
- A proven track record of 5 years+ as an auditor, risk or compliance analyst, financial or management accountant, ideally within the financial services industry
- A Bachelors level qualification in Accounting, Finance, or an associated field
- Knowledge of the investment and managed funds industry, and financial products
- Ability to effectively communicate clearly across all level, both vernally and written.
- Exceptional problem solving skills, and be ability to deliver within agreed time frames
- Excellent report writing skills
- Knowledge and experience of Financial Markets Conduct Act and MIS Regulations is an advantage for this role
