**The opportunity**:

- As the Audit and Assurance Analyst, you will capture, assess and store the proof required to assist in the in the Security Audits conducted against KPMG NZ. The Audit and Assurance Analyst will assess risk level and identify and recommend mitigating strategies to risks in supporting the National Information Technology Security Office (NITSO).
- You will be heavily involved in various stakeholder engagements and will take part in defining global policies and standards.

**Day to day you will**:

- Assisting with the review and capture of Internal Audit proof and key controls.
- Assess new technology to ensure it is in line with the Global Security Policies.
- Define, develop, and implement processes and procedures to support NITSO team
- Perform security risk assessments and cloud assessments, and co-ordinate audit and compliance assessments.
- Triage projects to ensure appropriate levels of security due diligence are applied.
- Provide information security reporting to both the local senior leadership.
- Develop effective partnerships throughout KPMG locally, regionally, and globally.
- Keep up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and security threats happening globally.

**What you’ll bring to the team**:

- Relevant tertiary qualification in computer science, information systems, engineering, or similar.
- Preferable security certification such as CISSP, CCSP, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, CISA.
- Familiar with security standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, NZISM, OWASP.
- Experience in conducting workshops with business owners to support risk assessments.
- Experience in conducting or supporting security and cloud risk assessments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong documentation skills.
