**About the role**:
As the New Zealand Health and Safety Manager, you will be developing and executing Schindler’s Global Safety and Health strategies and initiatives, including definition of all KPIs and targets. You will manage Risk management through implementation and maintenance of the NZ employee safety management system and support the Senior leadership team to coordinate & implement all required safety programs and related activities to effectively prevent injuries and fatalities.

Your role will include:

- Develop, Implement and maintain safety training material (incl. videos, e-learning, etc.) and training matrix.
- Ensure NZ compliance to Group’s employee safety management system by conducting formal assessments to ensure full corporate compliance during audits.
- Define and collect safety data for management purposes and trend analysis for fatality prevention, to allow definition of relevant action plans, future strategies and initiatives, as well as benchmarking.
- Perform regular visits to Branch offices, keeping in close contact with the Branch manager and teams, to foster safety culture development through behavioural safety management.
- Always promote Safety and Health awareness, through extensive communication at all levels, sharing of good practices and Incident learnings.
- Support Schindler Subcontractors with initiatives and monitoring tools to ensure adherence to Schindler’s employee safety values.
- Implement new norms and standards (OSHAS 18000, ISO 45000, etc.)
- Promote health, wellness and Emergency preparedness.
- Organize All Branch & National Safety Committee meetings
- Supporting accident investigation root cause analysis, including fatal, and follow-up of corrective action plans.

**What we are looking for**:
Areas of Expertise
- At least 2 years work experience in EHS management, with experience in the lift industry or equivalent
- Able to Implement new norms and standards (OSHAS 18000, ISO 45000, etc.)
- Occupational Health & Safety

- Eligibility to work permanently in New Zealand (citizen or permanent resident)
- NZ Driver's license
