Ara Whiwhi Mahi - The opportunity
We are looking for someone who is keen to provide business support for our busy Commercial Services and Strategic Property and Finance Services teams. Ideally, you'll have an interest in commercial, property, finance/accountancy, buying operations and/or sustainability and be keen to learn more. While we primarily need support to keep our teams running efficiently and organising various aspects of our work, you'll be able to help us in other ways too.

**In this varied role you will**:

- organise team meetings, workshops and the occasional team event
- raise purchase requisitions and help us manage our purchase orders and receipting activities
- keep our records and information management practices in good shape
- assist with updates to the intranet and other guidance material 
- support the teams with some of their work e.g. environmental and social sustainability, property leasing
- help the team by providing general administrative support when needed e.g. drafting correspondence, preparing team presentations
- get involved in a number of different projects depending on your capability, capacity and interest e.g. business planning, reporting, system optimisation, building awareness of our services across the organisation
- network across the organisation to help us deliver our services to the right places at the right time, efficiently and effectively.

Mōu - About you
To be successful in this position you will possess some of the following attributes:

- Some experience in office or personal administration and a willingness to provide this core support for our teams
- Sound understanding of MS Office suite
- The ability to organise and plan, to multi-task and to juggle competing priorities
- A keen understanding of the need for confidentiality, sensitivity and a high level of integrity and professionalism
- Excellent stakeholder, relationship management and networking skills with the ability to liaise with other business support teams to deliver on business outcomes
- Strong written communication skills and the aptitude to prepare initial drafts of letters, presentations, and guidance material
- A consistent and diligent approach to records and information management
- A keenness to look for and realise opportunities to add value to the teams and your leaders
- A proactive and motivated outlook with an interest in learning new systems and ways of working
- Have a positive approach and be a team player
