**Manager, Operations, Māori Housing, Strategy Finance & Performance**

We are looking for an experienced leader to guide all aspects of the Te Puni Kōkiri Māori Housing directorates operational activity.

**The Te Puni Kōkiri focus on housing recognises that access to warm, dry and safe housing is a fundamental right that delivers improved social, economic and cultural outcomes for all New Zealanders. Te Puni Kōkiri works across the housing system in New Zealand to ensure improved housing outcomes for Māori**

**Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The opportunity**

Based in our Head Office, the Manager Operations, contributes to bringing about the delivery of outcomes and enhance the Ministry's reputation with Māori, the Public Sector, Media, and Government by providing leadership and investing in and building capacity in Māori Housing.

The Operations Directorate is focused on developing the capability and capacity of Government to deliver programmes that support iwi, hapu, whanau and Maori communities to thrive. Some of the programmes delivered through the Operations Directorate include Whenua Māori, Whānau Ora, Māori Wardens and Māori Enterprise.

**Ko wai koe | About you**

To be successful you will have:

- Understanding of the government and the public service and public sector processes.
- Ability to identify, build and actively manage significant relationships, valuing diverse perspectives and experiences.
- Commercial and financial expertise or programme and investment management experience.
- Conceptual and analytical skills and experience in developing and implementing workable solutions to ambiguous and complex problems.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills which enable the person involved to produce documents which explain in person, complex issues to key stakeholders and other audiences including non-technical experts.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Risk identification and management.
- Strong process administration and monitoring skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
