**People & Capability Administrator - **Ngā Tamariki Puāwai o Tāmaki |Auckland Kindergarten Association (AKA) - 12-month fixed term position. Estimated start date December 2nd, 2024.
Due to one of our team members taking parental leave we have an exciting P&C Administrator opportunity at the Ngā Tamariki Puāwai o Tāmaki |Auckland Kindergarten Association (AKA).
**AKA** is a leading provider of early childhood education in New Zealand, with a history dating back to 1908. We offer quality ECE in a bicultural environment, prioritising the well-being of **tamariki** and their **whānau**. Our network includes 107 kindergartens, 4 KiNZ centers, 5 Playgroups, and dedicated support services.
Are you looking for your next challenge to demonstrate your excellent HR and recruitment administration and coordination skills? We have the perfect opportunity in this 12-month fixed term role which consists of a mix of HR, recruitment and Professional Learning & Development administration.
Working in a small but supportive P&C team, based at our Support Office in the city, you will be sharing the workload with another P&C Administrator. As a first point of contact for current and potential employees, the P&C Administrators ensure all customers interacting with our P&C team have their queries resolved and needs met in a timely way.
Together, you will support the organisation's P&C function by providing high level administration support and general HRIS system and process guidance to our kindergartens and early learning centre managers and employees. Working closely with Senior Recruitment Specialist, you will also have opportunity to work on and support our talent sourcing processes.
Your exceptional administration/coordination experience will ensure you can hit the ground running in this busy role. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide high level administration support for all aspects of HR processes, including recruitment, drafting of employment offers, salary assessments, and payroll entries
- Provide support to leaders with people system and processes, including training leaders how to complete job requisitions and ensuring they have actioned people change approvals in a timely manner
- Maintain Chris21 (payroll) system and ensure employee records are updated in a timely manner and are accurate
- Maintaining a close relationship with the Payroll team in order to manage timely information & process flows across the entire HR/Payroll function
- Assist the P&C Advisor with administration of professional development programmes
- Own onboarding and offboarding process end-to-end, ensuring all kaimahi have a positive AKA experience

- Proven high level administration skills and experience
- Professional, reliable and resilient
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills, with the ability to effectively juggle multiple demands
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail as this is a large multi-site, collective agreement environment
- Customer focused with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships
- A strong team player who enjoys collaborating with others to achieve outcomes
