**The role**
Reporting to the Learning & Development Frameworks Lead, as a Data Analyst you’ll be part of our collaborative and dynamic team responsible for creating and enhancing the central repository of information (data, reports, and visualizations). This is a pivotal role where you will generate data-based insights for the People & Capability team, enabling them to make informed decisions across all learning programs and HR functions.
- You will also:
- Collect, organise, record, and analyse data from multiple channels to identify trends, patterns, correlations, and insights relevant to our project objectives
- Manage and maintain the organisation’s databases, database documentation, including data dictionaries and create entity relationship diagrams
- Prepare monthly reports, summaries, and data visualizations highlighting key insights

**About you**
To be successful in this role, you’ll have an investigative mind with a meticulous eye for detail and be capable of identifying trends, creating data visualization, and upholding data governance standards.
- You’ll have proven experience, at least 2 years as a Business Intelligence/ Data Analyst or have a degree in Computer Science, Data Analysis, or Information Systems.
- You are someone who enjoys analysis, solving problems, working with data, extracting reports and you appreciate and get satisfaction from providing value to our business operations through insights gleaned from data. You should be able to demonstrate:
- A high level of proficiency in MS Excel & Power BI ( Essential) and good working knowledge of MS SQL, Tableau, SSRS and SSAS ( Preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication and in particular listening skills
- Effective interpersonal skills and be able to build, maintain trusting relations in a multi-cultural environment
- Ability to work efficiently, paying attention to consequences of any changes introduced
- Strong analytical and problem-solving acumen to interpret training data and contribute towards data/ report-driven decisions
- Ability to work within defined standards, while able to communicate when standards should be adjusted
- High levels of integrity as you may be exposed to confidential data and information; understand and work within the rules of the Privacy Act
- Being creative and have effective self-management ability to prioritise competing tasks, priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
- Being flexible with occasional travel when required
