**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
The Infrastructure and Investment Group (IIG) enhances the health and disability system by leading investments through planning, prioritising, delivering, and monitoring health infrastructure projects.
The IIG manages this responsibility through several functions, including asset management, investment planning, facility design, programme and project management, and monitoring and assurance.
We are looking for a Principal Data Analyst, who through the analysis of data for all proposed investments, enables the national management and delivery of the multi-billion health infrastructure portfolio for Health New Zealand.
**Mōu | About you**
In this role, you will report to Group Manager National Infrastructure & Investment Planning and have oversight of the Infrastructure Investment plan database for Health NZ, including supporting the prioritisation of infrastructure investments, revisions of the plan, and developing options for funding and delivery of individual investments, and undertaking early-stage investment planning.
You will be responsible for the development and improvement of the systems for capturing, managing and reporting on health infrastructure investments, including coordination with the regions and other functions (such as Finance, Project Delivery, Asset Management, Hospital and Specialist Services, and Data and Digital).
To be successful in this role you will be agile, analytical and able to deal with complexity, and be willing to share your knowledge and expertise to support the growth of the team. And, you will have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and be able to build strong relationships with key stakeholders (interacting with regions, hospitals and a wide range of stakeholders).

- Tertiary level qualification in a relevant area and/or appropriate experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- Advanced in data analytics and management
- Experience in complex long term financial modelling at a National Level within Health Infrastructure.
