**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

The Senior Analyst - Performance sits within the Delivery Unit of Hospital and Specialist Services. Reporting directly to the Manager of HSS Performance Measures, this role is responsible for leading and delivering, in partnership across H&SS, data science driven outcomes and performance measurement analysis reporting in relation to the H&SS services.

Senior Analysts provide strong technical or professional expertise, including data analysis activities and interpretation, writing and communication skills in relevant areas. The primary purpose of the role is to provide technical advice; data collation, modelling, analysis and interpretation; research activities, and input into reports, requests and briefings. In this role, you will also contribute by engaging with internal and external stakeholders (as agreed) to contribute to informed evidence-based recommendations and decisions.

**Mōu | About you**

We are looking for experienced analyst with well-developed analytical and technical skills. Using your previous experience and knowledge, you will be able to collect, assimilate, and summarise complex raw data in a systematic way to build a useful dataset for analysis and performance measurement reporting. This role provides the perfect opportuninity for a seasoned analyst to grow within H&SS and the wider Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora organisation.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- At least 3-5 years of relevant experience using qualitative or quantitative research/evaluation techniques, practices and principles.
- Advanced experience in Microsoft suite expected.
- Experience in using a variety of relevant analytical tools such as SQL, R or Python, R-Shiny, and PowerBI etc with a deep expertise in one analysis tool preferred.
- Experience in modelling, complex analytics and biostatistics is desirable
