**He angitūtanga | About the role**

The vision for Aotearoa New Zealand to become Predator Free by 2050 (PF2050) is incredibly exciting, of which the Department of Conservation Te Papa Atawhai is highly committed to. It will take a massive effort across multiple agencies and communities for it to become a reality.

The Department leads the coordination of the multiple agencies via a collaborative process, and we are looking for someone who can provide strategic and documentary support to the national collaborative groups to enable delivery of the Predator Free 2050 Strategy. Responsibilities of this position are expected to change over time as the Department responds to changing needs. You will need the flexibility to adapt and develop as the environment evolves. This is a part time, 20 hour per week, temporary position, set to run for 24 months.

The role will involve:

- providing support to the six national inter-agency collaborative groups to ensure continued alignment of proposed action with the national strategy
- synthesising insights, data, and reflections from collaborative groups to inform and guide the development of their action plans, with clear role assignment
- creating collateral where needed to enable PF2050 national collaborative groups to clearly articulate and report on the strategic pathways
- monitor administration and process support systems and procedures and make recommendations on system improvements
- facilitating the sharing and exchange of ideas and resources across the business units.

- strong relationship management experience at all levels of local & central government, NGO's and whanau, hapu and iwiOutstanding interpersonal skills; developing relationships, communicating, and liaising with Senior Managers, partners, internal and external stakeholders
- knowledge of and able to provide guidance respectfully and effectively on Departmentally required and official processes to external national collaborative groups
- experience of working in partnership with iwi and an understanding of Māori Tikanga and protocols and Mātauranga Māori
- track record of strong relationship-building, connecting, and collaborating, both internally and externally.
