The Manager, Programme and Reporting delivers the routines, including reporting and meetings, that provide information on the progress of the delivery of Government's work programme.

**The key areas of focus will be to**:

- Work (in a hands-on role) as part of a broader DPMC and central agency team to provide reports and advice on the delivery of Government's priorities.
- Engage with agencies to track, validate and report on the delivery status of targets and work programme using standardised reporting routines, adhering to consistent data quality standards, and ensuring reporting is clear, succinct, and accurate.
- Work with Programme Analysts to produce a regular cadence of reports (including online dashboards and visualisations) and ensure integrity of the data, insights and reporting.
- Manage the regular cadence of meetings to provide progress reports.
- Identify the key risks and issues across the portfolio of Government's priorities and works as part of the broader DPMC team to elevate issues.

Ko wai koe | About you
- Demonstrated senior management experience in the New Zealand public sector or private sector, leading programme management office (PMO) teams in highly complex portfolios.
- Experience working in and improving the performance of large, highly complex delivery programmes in the public sector and desirably in the private sector.
- Experience in engaging with and advising Ministers, boards and senior public sector leaders on complex and challenging matters, and/or private sector boards and senior leaders.
- Ability to build and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with senior leaders and using these to influence improvements in delivery and performance.
- Ability to lead, plan and organise work and have a high degree of discipline to deliver individually and as part of a broader team.
- Strong presentation skills in different formats and channels focused on the reader/audience, including online platforms and data visualisation.
- Strong quantitative skills, sophisticated data analytical abilities and experience working with large data sets and distilling critical information.
