Mō Te tūnga | About the role
The Skills and Knowledge Trainer will develop training plans and material for each line of service in line with the overarching training programme for all Defence Shared Services Group staff. They will be a key deliverer of the training plans, outline performance expectations and create and run refresher courses to ensure that staff maintain knowledge.

**A typical day might include**:

- Developing a training plan and material.
- Delivery of face to face/blended training and outlining performance expectations.
- Seeking feedback and adjusting training plan and material for future use.
- Running refresher courses to maintain knowledge.

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and Experience
As the Skills and Knowledge Trainer, you will be both experienced and (particularly) passionate about coaching, communication, and delivery, within the training and instructing space. This will translate into NZDF learners being equipped, and guided, to get the best possible in-house training. At minimum, you will bring a relevant professional qualification, or extensive business experience.

**Additionally, you will possess**:

- Experience in a personal development and training environment.
- Experience monitoring industry trends and adapting best practice.
- Moreover, you will be in your element as you quickly come up to speed with all things NZDF, challenge the “norms” in search of a better solution, and think outside the box.

**Please note**: This role will require domestic travel to all NZDF camps and bases within NZ, therefore a full and clean Driver's License is essential
