About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Parts Specialist to join our automotive team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for servicing our extensive customer base and Parts Trader business for retail, trade and internal.

Sourcing and supplying high-quality automotive parts to meet the needs of our customers, repair technicians, and service department. As a Senior Parts Specialist, you will oversee parts inventory, ensure timely availability of parts, assist with complex parts requests, and provide expert knowledge to both internal and external stakeholders. This is a senior role with a focus on operational excellence and customer satisfaction while maintaining an excellent stock control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Parts Management: Oversee daily operations of parts inventory, ensuring parts are in stock, properly cataloged, and efficiently stored in conjunction with support from the Parts and Service Manager.
  • Sourcing & Procurement: Identify, order, and acquire parts from multiple suppliers, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and availability for customers and internal teams.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide expert knowledge and advice to technicians, sales teams, and customers on parts compatibility, usage, and installation.
  • Customer Support: Assist customers and service advisors in identifying and procuring the correct parts for vehicles, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to parts and their applications.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as necessary to maintain optimum inventory levels, minimizing both shortages and excess stock.
  • Team Collaboration: Mentor and train junior parts specialists and team members, sharing knowledge to ensure efficient operations and growth within the department.
  • Parts Orders & Returns: Process parts orders, returns, and warranty claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Sales Support: Work closely with the sales department to provide timely and accurate parts information for customer orders and vehicle sales.
  • Parts Delivery Coordination: Coordinate with logistics and vendors to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of parts to meet the needs of the business.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate parts records, inventory reports, and other documentation as required for auditing and compliance.
