Our vision of **‘Whānau transformation through education’** drives our commitment to being at the forefront of tertiary education underpinned by Māori culture and values.
Ko ngā uara (our values) are woven throughout the actions we take to achieve great outcomes for our tauira (students) and kaimahi (employees):
- **
Te Aroha**:Having regard for one another and those for whom we are responsible and to whom we are accountable.
- ** Te Whakapono**:The basis of our beliefs and the confidence that what we are doing is right.
- ** Ngā Ture**:The knowledge that our actions are morally and ethically right and that we are acting in an honourable manner.
- ** Kotahitanga**:Unity amongst iwi and other ethnicities; standing as one.
**About this role**
As Senior HR Advisor, you'll join our People Operations team who deliver day to day operational HR support to our kaimahi across Aotearoa. The team are fun and engaged, acting as the first point of contact for employment relations queries, providing coaching and advice to managers, leading people-related initiatives, and ensuring actions and decisions are carried out in alignment with HR best practice. As an experienced practitioner, you'll support and encourage the development of your immediate team, sharing your knowledge and experiences.
Alongside People Operations sit our Talent Acquisition and ER & Advisory teams who you'll work closely with on a day-to-day basis, and we also have a Culture & Capability team who round out our HR service offering; they look after organisational and cultural development, and L&D.
**About you**
As an experienced HR generalist, you'll be able to provide wide-ranging support and advice to managers across the country. You're able to build rapport and credibility with others easily, using that credibility to guide and influence decisions and outcomes. You'll have sound knowledge of HR policies, procedures and NZ employment law and you'll be comfortable with ambiguity, change and a broad range of stakeholders.
As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
If this sounds like an opportunity you’d be interested in, and you have the experience we need - we'd love to hear from you.
