We are seeking an organised and proactive **Event and Conference Planner** to join our team. As an event planner at the University of Auckland, you will have the chance to work alongside leading academics and run events that have a meaningful impact on the lives of our students, staff, and wider community.

You will deliver a wide range of events for various departments within the university which could include the VC’s office, Engagement and Protocol office, the conference team, student engagement and faculty events. You’ll deliver events such as public lectures, orientation events and pōwhiri, recruitment events (seminars, webinars, open days) and stakeholder relationship events (dinners, cocktail functions). You will be accountable for developing event concepts, timelines and budgets as well as managing the events end-to-end. You will provide expertise, guidance and advice to key stakeholders to ensure the delivery of safe and successful events.

This is a great opportunity to work in an events role without the stress of late nights and long weekend work.

This is a **full-time** (37.5 hours pw), **permanent** position.
The salary range is between $58,300 - $72,700 pa based on experience and qualifications.

**About the team | Mō tō mātou rōpū**

Reporting to the Event Operations Manager, you will work collaboratively with a team of dedicated, innovative and proactive individuals ensuring successful delivery of a wide variety of events - from webinars and expos to recruitment events and everything in between.

This role is based at the University of Auckland City Campus.

**Qualifications** About you | He kōrero mōu**

This role will suit someone who has creative flair, who is highly organised, takes a proactive approach and thrives in a busy environment. An understanding of tikanga and kawa for events would be advantageous. Experience in a similar role is required and a tertiary qualification is preferred. Other important skills and experience include:

- Experience with a CMS (Ideally Adobe Experience Manager), working knowledge of how CRM systems operate for creation of bespoke event landing pages would be advantageous.
- Experience using Eventbrite, Zoom Webinars and/or ON24 is a bonus
