Are you a dynamic and experienced Events Manager looking for an exciting opportunity in the vibrant city of Wellington? We are seeking a talented individual to join our team and take charge of planning, organizing, and executing a wide range of events, including conferences, conventions, and trade shows.

**Position Overview**: As an Events Manager, you will be responsible for promoting and managing various events, ensuring seamless execution while providing exceptional service to our clients. This position requires a dedicated individual who is willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and nights, to accommodate the unique demands of the events industry.
- This is a full-time position with a minimum expected week of 30 hours per week._
- Due to the nature of hospitality, we are a 7-day business, shifts will vary from morning to night and days will vary._

**Responsibilities**:

- **Promoting Events**:

- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote conferences and events.
- Reach out to potential customers and stakeholders to generate interest and attendance.
- **Client Interaction**:

- Respond to inquiries regarding services, costs, room hire, catering, and related offerings.
- Meet with clients to understand their needs and present customized package options.
- **Coordination and Planning**:

- Arrange and coordinate various services, including conference facilities, catering, signage and displays.
- Organize participant registration and manage logistics for a smooth event experience.
- **Budget Management**:

- Negotiate service types and costs within budget constraints.
- Monitor and manage expenses to ensure financial goals are met.
- **Contract Oversight**:

- Oversee work performed by contractors, ensuring adherence to quality standards and timelines.
- Report on variations to work orders and address any issues promptly.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as an Events Manager or in a similar role.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and nights.
- Knowledge of the events industry trends and best practices.

**Compensation**: The position offers a competitive annual salary in the range of $85,000 - $90,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
