Rabobank New Zealand is part of the international Rabobank Group, is one of NZ's largest rural lenders and a significant provider of corporate financial services to the food and agribusiness sector in New Zealand.

Globally and locally, the bank runs one of the world's pre-eminent food and agribusiness research units.

Rabobank in NZ is structured in three core business lines:

  • Country Banking offers financial products and services to primary producers and 'beyond-the-farm-gate' in the food, agribusiness, beverage and related manufacturing and service sectors
  • Online Savings. This provides competitive savings products to NZ personal customers and is available through digital channels
  • Wholesale Banking works with both large corporations and middle market operations in the food, agribusiness, beverage and related manufacturing and service industries. Products and services include corporate lending, structured finance, trade finance, commodity finance, equipment finance, financial market instruments and derivatives, mergers & acquisitions and corporate advisory


The Rabobank New Zealand marketing team adopts a collaborative and agile team approach to designing and delivering the marketing activity.

The purpose of the team is the implementation of a commercial marketing strategy and execution to drive the broader business objectives for the entire New Zealand operation.


Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Website

  • Maintain Rabobank's website's including updating interest rates, content management, and website optimisation.
  • Optimise and improve usability, conversion and the sales funnel wherever possible through design and development solutions. Including implementing insights from analytics and stakeholder feedback to design new/improved webpages (from creating wireframes, designing pages through to deployment).
Social

  • Manage the implementation of Rabobank NZ social media strategy through content and campaign activity. Including updating social calendars and ensuring posts are scheduled and boosted (when applicable).
  • Active input into the development of Rabobank NZ social media strategy.
  • Drive visitor views and engagement with content across social media platforms.
  • Gather and develop relevant content to be used across social media platforms.
Digital Advertising

  • Day to day management of digital advertising agency, including campaign development, SEM, social, display advertising and reporting.
  • Review data, results and trends to ensure digital advertising spend is being optimised to achieve digital marketing objectives.
General

  • Work with the wider Marketing team and wider business to implement marketing campaigns across digital channels (website, search, display, social etc.).
  • Manage and coordinate relevant country banking marketing requests through the CRM system.
  • Contribute to the successful development, implementation, and management of marketing content across all digital channels in order to meet acquisition and sales volume targets for Rabobank.
  • Analyse and report on the performance of the website, social activity, and provide recommendations to improve.
  • Work with creative designer, marketing, corporate affairs, country banking business, digital agency, external influencers and other industry experts.
  • All marketing content to adhere to internal policies and procedures.
  • Ensure effective management of time and resources to achieve efficiencies and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy and quality.
  • Strong organisational skills, with project management capabilities to prioritise multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work in fastpaced environment with mínimal supervision.
  • Confident communication style, with excellent verbal and written skills
General

Qualifications:

  • Degree in marketing, or business advertising.

Desirable:

  • Website development qualification.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years digital marketing experience
  • At least 2 years social media marketing experience (preferably including content generation; imagery and film)
  • CRM experience
  • SharePoint experience desirable
  • Website content management (Sitecore desirable) and website development skills.
  • Expert knowledge of digital marketing principles such as funnel optimisation UX, SEO & Landing Page optimisation & experience in running A/B tests for campaigns and deriving customer insights a major plus.

Knowledge:

  • Banking Knowledge preferred but not essential
