The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a strategic and dynamic Marketing Manager to join our Animal Management team.

Collaborating closely with the General Manager, Chief Marketing Officer and New Zealand sales team you will develop and execute innovative marketing strategies and campaigns across a wide range of channels that supports the growth of our Animal Management business in the New Zealand market.


As Part of #TeamGallagher you will

  • Identify market opportunities and develop compelling campaigns that resonate with our target audience, effectively positioning our brand as a leader in the Animal Management sector.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure that marketing efforts align with our overall business goals and brand identity.
  • Nurture relationships with key marketing and communication professionals in related agricultural sectors to develop comarketing activities.
  • Oversee our promotional activities, leveraging sponsorships for marketing initiatives, and maintaining a strong social media presence in New Zealand.
  • Act as the spokesperson for the Animal Management team, handling media inquiries, managing press releases, and media events. Cultivating and maintaining relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers will be vital to create mutually beneficial marketing opportunities.
  • Manage both printed and online advertising media planning. You will also be involved in the development and distribution of our enewsletter, which will include copywriting and sourcing local stories.

To be successful in this role you will need

  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field
  • 5+ years proven experience in a marketing, public relations or communications role, a focus on regional or domestic marketing is an advantage
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to translate business goals into effective marketing and communication strategies
  • Strong media relations skills, including experience with press releases, media events and trade shows, and crisis communication
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to motivate and influence, and to craft compelling messages for a variety of audiences
  • Proficiency in digital and marketing platforms, with a great understanding of current trends and best practices
